மதஸ்தலங்கள் தாக்கப்படுவதை ஒரு போதும் அனுமதிக்க முடியாது -கல்முனை பௌத்த விகாராதிபதி
கல்முனை செய்தியாளர் : கல்முனை பொலிஸ் நிலையத்தினால் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டிருந்த இப்தார் விஷேட நிகழ்ச்சி கல்முனை பொலிஸ் நிலையப்பொறுப்பதிகாரி ஜெயந்த நாணயகார தலைமையில் நேற்று 10.08.2012ல் கல்முனை பொலிஸ் நிலையத்தில் நடைபெற்றது.
இந்நிகழ்வுக்கு பிரதம அதிதியாக கிழக்கு மாகாணத்திற்கு பொறுப்பான சிரேஸ்ட பிரதிப் பொலிஸ் மா அதிபர் பூஜித ஜயசுந்தர, விஷேட அதிதியாக அம்பாறை மாவட்ட பொலிஸ் நிலைய பொறுப்பதிபாரி சுந்தர திரலால் ரணகல கல்முனை நகர பௌத்த விகாரையின் விகாராதிபதி ரன்முத்துகல சங்கரத்ன தேரர் ஆகியோர் உட்பட ஏனைய பொலிஸ் நிலையங்களின் பொறுப்பதிபதிகாரிகளும் சர்வ மதத் தலைவர்களும் ஊடகவியலாளர்களும் கலந்துகொண்டனர்.
இங்கு உரையாற்றிய கல்முனை நகர பௌத்த விகாரையின் விகாராதிபதி ரன்முத்துகல சங்கரத்ன தேரர் .
இலங்கை நாட்டில் எந்த மதஸ்தலங்களையும் உடைப்பதை நாங்கள் அனுமதிக்க முடியாது. கடந்த காலங்களில் நடந்த சம்பவங்கள் எனக்கு மிகவும் வேதனையளிக்கின்றன. இந்த நாட்டில் வாழ்கின்ற சகல மக்களுக்கும் சகல உரிமைகளும் இருக்கின்றன. பெரும்பான்மை சிறுபான்மை என்றில்லாது இந்த நாட்டில் எல்லோரும் சமமாக ஒற்றுமையோடு வாழ வேண்டும்’ என குறிப்பிட்டார்.
No one could blame the entire Buddhist Monks for the Dampulla Masjid attack.
In every community and religious designators there are some extremists and controversial characters.
It is better that the same community leaders initiate and contempt the unhealthy incident took place in Dampulla and take relevant steps to rectify the matters to avoid confrontations between Muslims and Buddhists in order to maintain peace in this country.

We appreciate this prelate who condemn the extreme Buddhist activists’ attack on our Masjids and the serial demonstrations against our Mosques in some parts of the country. I think this is a first time one of the prelates publicly condemned these attacks which was created unnecessary and unhealthy rift between two communities in the recent past. At the same time we knew the majority of this country people and the Buddhist prelates are peace loving peoples and against vandalism. But the saddest part of these incidents is we never heard any condemnation from the government part or no least action had been so far taken to arrest persons involved in this incident. Our Muslims never throw stone at any temple since we respect the others worshiping places as we do for our Mosques. We request our police department not only to confine by arranging Ifthar but also to take drastic action against the culprits who creates unnecessary troubles in front of any worshiping places without hindrance………we still doubt about the government’s stance on this issue since it’s maintaining and keeping mum without uttering any words.
